Friendship Club
Friendship Club
The Friendship Club meets every tuesday in Cafe del Mondo between 6.00 and 8.00 pm.
The Friendship Club is an informal gathering of ethnic minorities and the wider community that meet for a chat, a cup of tea and some fun.
We plan to organise in the following weeks board games day, international food, exhibitions, goods exchange, movies, poetry readings, mucis etc, .. you can propose the activities you would like to happen and the Friendship Club Coordinator will try to support you in the organisation of the event.
The Friendship Club is a charity event and the money collected for teas and coffee (drinks cost only £1 - refill is FREE) are given to a different charity every week. If you wish to organise an activity in the Friendship Club you can decide which charity you wish to donate the collection to. For more information please call us on 028/71370989. The Beat Starts at The One World Resource Center, Derry

Calling all musicans or even wanabee musicans/vocalists/dancers SEEDS and Beyond Skin are starting a band - but not just any band it's a multicutural musical extravaganza! Bringing the sounds/moves of the globe to create a fusion of rythmn, beat and sweet melody. If you have a passion to beat a drum, a panache for a pan pipe or a wish for a boogie then this is for you!

HARMONICITY will feature music/dance from around the world everything from traditional to contemporary folk, reggae, RnB, pop, rock, rap, and alternative.

No matter who you are, where you are from, your level of musical ability there's a place in the band for you.

So come along to the first workshop!

    Coming Together

    The Foyle Multicultural Forum links established and new minority ethnic communities in the North West of Northern Ireland. Our community development approach has helped to build strong & positive relationships between all groups.

    The Forum provides the opportunity for exchange of good practice, experiences & ideas. Members can develop coordinated actions to address issues affecting the local minority ethnic community such as challenging & dealing with racism.

    Reaching Further

    Our outreach work increases awareness of & respect for ethnic diversity, creating good relations between people of different backgrounds.

    The Forum helps confidence & networking, encouraging people to participate & integrate with the broader society.

    This allows for the Forum to constitute as a strong regional voice.

    • To sustain and develop the Foyle Multi-Cultural Forum as an organisation which meets the needs of the local minority ethnic population.
    • To support individuals, groups and agencies working with minority ethnic communities.
    • To work strategically to identify needs and respond accordingly.
